You can help us save babies' lives and support bereaved parents by asking your MP to join the APPG on Baby Loss, which is supported by Sands.
The APPG on Baby Loss is a group of MPs and members of the House of Lords from all parties fighting the corner for bereaved families and expectant parents in Parliament. Sands supports the running of this group and with your help we have already succeeded in doubling its size over the last year - we need to continue this growth to ensure that even more MPs are committed to saving babies' lives and supporting bereaved families.
We have pre-written an email for you - all you need to do is add your details.* You can also tell your MP why this issue matters to you if you wish.
* If your MP is already a member, we have a pre-written letter thanking them for joining.

- Why does the APPG on Baby Loss matter?
With the support of the APPG on Baby Loss and working alongside others, we successfully convinced the Government to allow partners and other supporters of pregnant women to attend maternity appointments during the Covid-19 pandemic so that mothers weren't left to receive difficult news by themselves. It was also through the Safe Staffing campaign, run with the APPG on Maternity and the APPG on Baby Loss, that we managed to have the Government commit to recruiting 2,000 more midwives in 2022.
Having more MPs engaged and involved in the APPG is crucial to building a network of MPs that can amplify the voices of the baby loss community and ensure that issues around pregnancy loss and the death of a baby are raised in Parliament.
