Ahead of this year’s elections on 6 May, ask your local candidates to pledge to take action to make Wales the safest place in the world to have a baby, if elected.
Sadly, the stillbirth rate has not reduced in Wales over recent years, as it has in other parts of the UK.
The Pregnancy and Baby Charities Network Manifesto sets out the actions needed by Government to make Wales the safest place in the world to have a baby, including:
• Introducing a target to reduce baby deaths, which is reported against annually.
• Giving all families a maternity guarantee of a personalised care journey that fits their needs.
• Giving all sick and premature babies the best chance of survival and quality of life.
• Providing every family with the bereavement care they need after pregnancy or baby loss.
