On 07 May 2026, Wales will elect a new Senedd. This is an opportunity to make saving babies' lives the political priority it should be.
We need all Welsh political parties to commit to change by including targets to save babies' lives, and better care for bereaved parents, in their election manifestos.
Above all, we need accountability.
The stillbirth rate in Wales has been consistently higher than the rate for the rest of the UK. Despite this, the Welsh Government have still not set any targets to reduce stillbirths and neonatal deaths in Wales.
