This election, ask your Scottish Parliament candidates to pledge their commitment to saving babies’ lives and ensuring all bereaved families get the care and support they need.
Although the rates of babies dying before, during or shortly after birth in Scotland have reduced overall since 2010, progress has been inconsistent.
Saving babies’ lives must be a political priority for the next Government.
And we know that too often, bereaved families still can’t access the care and support they need after baby loss. Last year, only 8% of bereaved families in Scotland told Sands they were able to access the mental health care they needed through the NHS.
But together, we can change this. Help us build a network of MSPs in the next Scottish Parliament, who are committed to saving babies’ lives and supporting bereaved families.
