All women pregnant again following the death of a baby should be offered the same maternity team to care for them and their baby, through pregnancy, birth and afterwards.
Known as ‘Continuity of Carer’, this model of care helps save lives and create emotional and psychological safety for mothers and partners.
Although Governments across the UK are committed to bringing in this model of care - we want them to make sure it is properly funded and supported, and that women who are pregnant again after the death of a baby are prioritised to receive it.
